Daniel C. Jones became the Dülmen Tower Barracks Site Manager, Dülmen, Germany for U.S. Army Garrison Benelux in August 2022. Before his current assignment, Mr. Jones served as the Chief of the Administrative Services Division in USAG Ansbach, Germany.
Mr. Jones began his Department of the Army civilian career in installation management over 20 years ago as a Child and Youth Services (CYS) professional. He has held multiple positions and roles within CYS and the Directorate of Family, Morale Welfare and Recreation (DFMWR). His prior key assignments included various CYS program manager positions in Schweinfurt and Ansbach, Germany, and Fort Wainwright, Alaska. He shifted his career path to the Directorate of Human Resources (DHR) in 2018, where he held the positions of Workforce Development Specialist and Chief, Administrative Services Division. Additionally, Mr. Jones has also held the position of Acting Director of Human Resources for both USAG Ansbach and USAG Benelux.
Mr. Jones’ awards include Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Europe’s Army Professional of the Year for 2020 and 2019, a Commander’s Award for Civilian Service, and multiple Department of the Army Civilian Service Achievement Medals and Meritorious Civilian Service Medals. National Level awards include the National Alliance for Youth Sports Excellence in Youth Sports Award, Army Community of Excellence Bronze Award contributor and Military Child Education Coalition Pete Taylor Partnership of Excellence Awards.
Mr. Jones was one of 70 Department of Defense civilians to participate in the DoD Civilian Emerging Leader Program (DCELP) leader development program. He was also selected for the (IMCOM) Enterprise Emergent Leader Program and the Boys and Girls Club of America Advanced Leadership Program. He is also a registered Mediator for the state of Georgia, certified Operation Excellence Customer Service Trainer and Human Capital Institute Strategic Workforce Planner.
