About the Chièvres Vet Clinic
The clinic is a non-emergency veterinary clinic and our primary mission is to provide veterinary services to military working dogs, but we also offer minor preventative veterinary services to DoD ID cardholders based on availability (Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays).
We are able to schedule up to two weeks in advance. We are closed on Thursdays, the last business day of the month for inventory purposes, and for all American federal holidays.
All pets living on post must be registered with the VTF upon arrival. On-Post Housing may limit the number and breed of pets that can live in on-post housing. Contact on-post housing for more information.

PCS Information for you and your pet
International Health Certificates
Visit the clinic or give them a call to find out what is required to travel with your pet to your new home. They provide international health certificates, as well as the vaccines and screenings required to obtain them.
As of August 1, 2024, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) simplified entry requirements for dogs from dog rabies-free or low-risk countries. In addition to the current rabies and health certificate for travel, the one new form needed is the CDC Dog Import Form, if your dog has been only in countries that are dog rabies-free or low-risk in the six months before entering or returning to the U.S. Your dog must appear healthy to enter the U.S. To find out if a country is dog rabies-free or low-risk, check High-Risk Countries for Dog Rabies | Importation | CDC. Only high-risk countries are listed on the website. If the country is not listed on the website, it is considered a dog rabies-free or low-risk country.
