Mr. Michael Daniels serves as the Deputy Garrison Manager for USAG Benelux in Brunssum.

Mr. Daniels was born in Proctor, Vermont. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from St. Michael's College (Winooski, Vermont) in 1983. He earned a Master of Military Arts and Science in Military History from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College in 2003, a Master of Science in International Relations from Troy University in 2005, a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College in 2014, where he was recognized as a distinguished graduate.

Prior to this assignment, Mr. Daniels served as the Deputy Garrison Commander at the Yakima (WA) Training Center from April 2017 until October 2019. This was his first assignment as a Department of the Army Civilian after retiring in 2016 having served 32 years in the Army on active duty.

While on active duty, Mr. Daniels served in a variety of assignments as both an enlisted infantryman and engineer officer, throughout the United States and around the world, to include Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan, Republic of Korea, Germany, Panama, and England. Mr. Daniels received numerous awards and decorations through his career, including the Legion of Merit and Bronze Star, and is a graduate of various civilian and military courses and schools. Mr. Daniels is a member of the Society of American Military Engineers, the Army Engineer Association, International County/City Manager's Associations, and a number of veteran's service organizations.

Mr. Daniels has been married to the former Emily McDaniel for over 30 years. Together they have two grown-up children living in the United States.
