WSMR Garrison CSM attends Helping Hands Veterans Stand Down event
In a heartwarming initiative to support those who have served our country, the Las Cruces Veterans of Foreign Wars held a Helping Hands Veterans Stand Down on Friday, Oct. 18, 2024.
White Sands Missile Range Garrison Command Sgt. Maj. Jamal N. Latore attended this impactful event, which brought together homeless and near-homeless veterans, offering them not only essential backpacks filled with hygiene items but also valuable information about resources available to help them rebuild their lives.
In addition, members of the White Sands Missile Range human resources team attended to share information with the veterans about the job openings and opportunities at the installation. The gathering served as a reminder of the community's commitment to honoring and uplifting our veterans during challenging times.
