Town Hall meeting and upcoming events

The White Sands Missile Range community came out to the Frontier Club Sept. 30 for a Town Hall meeting where WSMR Commander Brig. Gen. George Turner invited the entire WSMR community to the Thanks Team WSMR event Oct. 10 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Desert Emerald Park.

 The event is open to the WSMR community to include service members, civilians, and their family members. Come enjoy a taste of Las Cruces food, drinks, games and prizes.

WSMR Garrison Commander Don Mozer answered questions from residents and said the AAFES upgrades should be finalized by March 2025.

The Bowling Center will remain open during renovations, which are expected to be completed by mid-February 2025.

Child and Youth Services facilities will be closed on Oct. 10 to allow employees to attend mandatory training.

The grand opening for the new driving range and virtual golf simulator is scheduled for November.

Housing residents are reminded to call in any emergency repairs. Housing residents were also reminded to break down boxes before placing them in the recycling bins.
