Hello Team WSMR, please take a brief moment to hear this message from our Garrison Command leadership and Child & Youth Services, and Army Community Service teams. We understand this is a trying and difficult time for many of us in our WSMR community. We want to share some of the resources that are available to you and your family amidst the government shutdown:

Army Emergency Relief is offering zero interest loans to affected Soldiers during this time. You can apply by reaching out to your chain of command or through the ACS office here at WSMR.

Several military banking institutions are offering zero interest loans and payment relief programs for eligible members. Contact your bank directly and be sure to ask for “government shutdown assistance program”.

The Commissary and Exchange will remain open and for the month of October all commissary purchases made with the Military Star Card will receive 0% interest and payments for 3 months.

CYS and limited ACS services will remain open to the community for the foreseeable future.
