Seven tips to have a great WSMR light parade experience
Are you ready for some holiday fun? The Child & Youth Services of White Sands Missile Range is excited to host the 11th Annual Light Parade on Friday, Dec. 8, at 5:45 p.m. and is open to the entire WSMR community.
The parade will start at Volunteer Park and pass through the housing area. Then, stick around after the parade for delicious food, exciting activities, fun crafts, and more at the Middle School & Teen Facility (Building 1318).
We can't wait to spread holiday cheer and make unforgettable memories with all of you in the WSMR community. Here are some tips to help you make the most out of the parade:
- Know the parade route and have an idea of your ideal spot ahead of time
- Check the weather and dress appropriately for your ultimate comfort; we suggest bundling up
- Bring something for you and your children to sit on, or prepare to stand for about 30 minutes
- Think safety and make sure your children stay out of the parade route streets
- Get into the parade spirit by dressing up in your favorite holiday attire
- After the parade, head on over to the Middle School and Teen Facility (Bldg. 1318) to enjoy the additional activities
- Most importantly, be ready to have a holly jolly time!
