Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chief visits WSMR

SEA Tony Whitehead, senior enlisted advisor, to the chief, National Guard Bureau, visited White Sands Missile Range Feb. 20 for an installation site visit.

Whitehead serves as the Chief's principal military advisor on all enlisted matters affecting training, utilization, health of the force, and enlisted professional development. As the highest enlisted level of leadership, he provides direction for the enlisted force and represents their interests.

Whitehead started the day with a physical training group session before meeting with WSMR Commander Col. George C. Turner and Garrison Command Sgt. Maj. Jamal N. Latore.

During his visit he toured the Cox Range Control Center where he received several briefings, followed by a visit to the Special Operation Forces – Test and Experimentation Center for a tour of their facilities and to view static displays.

During lunch he met with a group of Noncommissioned Officers at the newly renovated Frontier Club, where they discussed facilities and funding needs.

The day concluded with a windshield tour of main post.
