The White Sands Missile Range community came out to the Green Chile Festival for some fun and good food Aug. 28 at the Frontier Club.

Guests enjoyed music, spicy food, and other activities.

"Team WSMR's Green Chile Festival brings our community together while connecting America's Range to this beautiful state,” WSMR Senior Commander Col. Andrew Morgan said. “My family and I have really enjoyed celebrating green chiles as a central element in New Mexico's identity.”

Michael van Muelken was the winner of both the Chile Eating Competition and the Taco Eating Competition.

Children enjoyed arts and crafts activities and the foam area.
