Army Futures Command leader visits WSMR
Command Sgt. Maj. Brian Hester, the senior ranking non-commissioned officer at U.S. Army Futures Command, stopped by White Sands Missile Range for a site visit where he met with WSMR leaders and the workforce May 21.
Hester met with several WSMR leaders to include Command Sgt. Maj. Michael Cordery and Garrison Command Sgt. Maj. Jamal Latore. He also received several briefings from WSTC, TRAC, DAC, and SOF-TEC and 3/6.
His first order of business was a briefing to the workforce and answered questions about his role with Army Futures Command.
“I’m excited to be here and spend the day with you and have a discussion with you,” Hester said to the group of Soldiers and civilians waiting for him at the Professional Development Center.
“We are part of the Army and the Department of Defense, and we are always mission focused, we are always ready to do the things that have to be done for our nation, but none of those things can be done without the people in our organization,” Hester said.
“Our Army would not be able to do things that it does without the mission focused activities that we do across the Army.”
At the conclusion of his visit, he recognized several individuals in front of the SOF-TEC building.
