9/11 Community Flag Raising

This morning, a community flag-raising took place at the Commanding General's Headquarters at White Sands Missile Range, where people from all walks of life gathered to pay tribute to the courageous Americans who faced the terror of September 11th with acts of bravery and sacrifice. This united front of our community shows how our nation's resilient spirit prevails.

Congress has designated September 11th of each year as "Patriot Day," nationally recognized as a "National Day of Service and Remembrance." In honor of this day, White Sands Missile Range will also hold a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony at 10:30 a.m. in the Post Chapel. Then, this afternoon at 1:30 p.m., there will be a WSMR DES Fire vs Police Softball Game on the field across from the Bell Gym.
