CW4 Matthew D. Chrisman

 
Chief Warrant Officer Chrisman entered the United States Army in February 1997, completing Basic Training and Infantryman AIT at Fort Benning, Georgia (known as Fort Moore since 2023). He served as a Team Leader with C Co 3/187 INF 101st ABN DIV (AASLT) and B Co 1/327 INF 101st ABN DIV (AASLT) at Fort Campbell, Kentucky until 2003. He then re-classed to Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) and was assigned to 63rd Chemical CO 101st ABN DIV (AASLT) as a Squad Leader and Platoon Sergeant. Mr. Chrisman was later assigned, in 2005, to the 425th BSTB 4/25th INF DIV (ABN) Fort Richardson, Alaska as the BN CBRN NCO. In 2007, he was assigned to the 1st SFOD-Delta (ABN) Fort Bragg, North Carolina (known as Fort Liberty since 2023) where he served as CBRN Team Sergeant. In 2011, then SFC Chrisman was selected to the first class of CBRN Warrant Officers. He attended the Warrant Officer Candidate School at Fort Rucker, Alabama (known as Fort Novosel since 2023).
 
Upon graduation from the Warrant Officer CBRN Basic Course (CBRN Technician, MOS 740A) he served in the 75th Fires Brigade 1st INF DIV, Fort Sill, Oklahoma as the Brigade's CBRN Technician then later as the Brigade’s Chemical Officer until July 2013. Mr. Chrisman was then selected to be the 1st Regimental Chief Warrant Officer of the United States Army CBRN School, Fort Leonard Wood Missouri until July 2016. Chief Chrisman then went to Fort Hood, Texas, (known as Fort Cavazos since 2023) where he served as the III Corps CBRN Warrant Officer in the Corps HQs CBRN Section until June 2020. CW3 Chrisman then became the Chief of the HAZMAT Dismounted Reconnaissance Department of the LT Terry Facility from July 2020 until September 2022. He recently served as the Senior Training Developer for Warrant Officer Professional Military Education and is currently serving as the 5th Regimental Chief Warrant Officer of the United States Army CBRN School.
 
Chief Chrisman earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Resource and Technology Management from Troy University and is working towards a Master of Arts in Religion with emphasis on Evangelism and Church Planting from Liberty University. His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Expert Infantryman Badge, Combat Action Badge, Senior Parachutist Wings, Pathfinder Badge, Air Assault Badge, Netherland and Ireland Jump Wings, and the Gold German Armed Forces Badge for Military Proficiency.
