CSM Justin Larson

 
Command Sergeant Major Justin Larson is a native of Othello, Washington.  He enlisted in the Army as an Infantryman in 2000, completing One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Benning, Georgia.
 
His assignments include the Battalion Reconnaissance Platoon, 2nd BN, 87th Infantry Regiment, Fort Drum, NY, 1st BN 50th Infantry Regiment, Fort Benning, GA, 1st BN, 67th Armor Regiment, Fort Carson, CO, 2nd BN, 11th Infantry Regiment, Fort Benning, Georgia, and the Asymmetric Warfare Group.
 
His military education includes the Primary Leadership Development Course, the Advanced Leader Course, the Senior Leader Course, and United States Army Sergeants Major Academy.  Other courses include Sniper School, Ranger School, Combatives Level 4, SERE, Air Assault School, Mountain Warfare School, and the Master Resilience Trainer course.
 
His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart (2 OLC), Meritorious Service Medal (2 OLC), Army Commendation Medal with “V,” Army Commendation Medal (3 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (6  OLC), Afghanistan Campaign Medal with 4 stars, Iraq Campaign Medal, Overseas Service Medal with numeral 3, Combat Infantry Badge, Expert Infantry Badge, and the Drill Sergeant Identification Badge.
 
CSM Larson is married with two children.
