Garrison chaplains provide comprehensive religious support for the spiritual and moral needs of Soldiers, other service members, family members, retirees, and authorized civilians.
Directorate of Emergency Services (DES): Provide quality force protection, law enforcement, physical security, access control, Fire & Emergency services, and Police and Community Liaison Services to the Community.
Provide oversight on installation law enforcement standards and initiatives for personnel, equipment and training. DES provides support in the areas of Law Enforcement, Fire and Emergency Services, Physical Security, Surety,
Antiterrorism and Emergency Management to protect property and the workforce. The DES consists of Law Enforcement (LE), Physical Security (PS), Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) and Protection (P). Fire and Emergency
Services (F&ES) Branch covers Incident Command and mitigation of all Installation emergency responses, Emergency Dispatch Centers, All-Hazard response operations, Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting operations, and Fire
Prevention/Public Education Programs.
Provide the full spectrum of Human Capital Program Management and Human Resource (HR) services to Soldiers, Families, Retirees and Civilians to enable readiness for a self-reliant and globally-responsive all volunteer Army. The divisions include: Military Personnel (MPD), Army Continuing Education Services (ACES), Administrative Services (ASD), Army Substance Abuse Program (ASAP) and the Soldier for Life - Transition Assistance Program (DFL-TAP).
Directs, coordinates, synchronizes, and integrates installation operations, training support activities and force protection.
Directorate of Public Works (DPW): The DPW is the Garrison's primary element for maintenance of the installation, infrastructure, and the environment. DPW consists of six Public Works Divisions: Business Operations & Integration, Engineering Services, Environmental, Master Planning, Operations & Maintenance, and Unaccompanied Housing. DPW encompasses the review of work classification and technical adequacy of all projects, reviews and validates submission of Military Construction (MILCON) projects and Host Nation (HN) funded projects for all construction and renovations development occurring on the Installation; manages IMCOM's Sustainment Restoration and Moderation (SRM) projects approved and funded for each fiscal year; updates Real Property assets, allowances, requirements, and programmed construction data in a variety of databases; provides day-to-day sustainment and maintenance support for the installation tenant activities; monitors and ensures all work and military-training activities are accomplished incompliance with Federal and State Environmental requirements / regulations; and provides oversight for all Quality of Life requirements for Housing all Unaccompanied Service Members residing on the installation.
USAG Okinawa MWR is under Army Family and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Programs, the G9 Division of the Army’s Installation Management Command and is composed of a comprehensive network of quality support and leisure services that enhances the lives of Soldiers, Civilians, Families, and Retirees. USAG Okinawa MWR provides the Installation's Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (Family and MWR) programs and services including Army Community Service (ACS) and Army School Liaison Officer (SLO). MWR administers support to Soldiers, Families, Civilians, and Retirees by offering family support activities and services; social, fitness and recreational activities that enhance community life, foster Soldier and unit readiness, promote mental and physical fitness; in addition to wellness programs that directly support readiness and resiliency for a globally-responsive Army.
The Logistics Readiness Center provides the customers of USAG Okinawa with sustainable full spectrum logistics in the areas of Transportation, Maintenance, Supply and Services.
The Budget Branch has the fiscal responsibility of managing and monitoring all aspects of the PPBE (Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution) process of all appropriated funds on behalf of the Commander, U.S. Army Garrison Okinawa, to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies, and efficient use of resources to meet organizational goals and objectives.
The Okinawa Law Center Mission Statement: To deliver principled counsel and mission-focused legal services to the Commander, 10th Support Group; staff and subordinate commands.
USAG Okinawa PAIO office synchronizes, integrates and delivers installation services while sustaining Army facilities on Okinawa in support of U.S. Army Japan.
The Public Affairs Office supports the installation by communicating on behalf of the installation and its leadership - providing clear, accurate, timely information to internal & external audiences. We employ a variety of communication strategies- including internal news and information products, media engagement, and public outreach.
