What is Prevention? Prevention is a proactive process that promotes healthy lifestyles and discourages drug use or high risk consumption of alcohol.
Education is a tool often used by commanders in the prevention process; however, other tools such as policy, life skills training, offering alternative activities to drinking, and media events should be included in proactive plan.
