Commanders Ready and Resilient Council
Fort Knox Commanders Ready and Resilient Council (CR2C)
The CR2C is the Senior Commander’s strategic platform designed to articulate the focus, conditions, and resources required to oversee the execution of the Army’s Ready and Resilient (R2) objectives. Under the direction of the Senior Commander, the Commanders Ready and Resilient Council (CR2C) identifies and sets priorities for installation community health promotion and well-being programs; directs the integration and synchronization of installation programs and services; and identifies gaps, overlaps, issues, and solutions that impact collective readiness, implement targeted actions, and review initiatives and promising practices for consideration and submission to HQDA via TRADOC CR2C. The CR2C Charter ensures commitment and support of key stakeholders to address the well-being of the Fort Knox community.
The CR2C is the platform chaired by the Fort Knox Senior Commander (SC) to make actionable decisions and supports overall unit readiness and organization performance of installation personnel at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels. The CR2C raises individual and community awareness and serves as the umbrella organization to provide a comprehensive and holistic approach to health and wellness promotion. The CR2C has the following objective: ensures oversight and execution of AR 600-63, Army Health Promotion including behavioral health, suicide prevention, spiritual fitness, physical health, environmental, and social priorities.
The CR2C is facilitated by the USAG/DHR Community Readiness & Resilience Integrator – Employee Assistance Professional (CR2I-EAP) under the direction of the Army Substance Abuse Program Manager. The CR2I-EAP encourages cooperation, coordination and integration of medical, tactical and garrison assets as it relates to R2. The CR2C working groups (Spiritual, Social & Psychological, Physical, Family and Strong Community) identify the risk factors and community needs. The Senior Commander assigns responsibilities and directs staff action to resolve issues as they relate to R2. The end state of the CR2C process is building and strengthening resilience, increasing professionalism, and equipping Soldiers, DA Civilians, and their Families with the knowledge, skills, abilities, and support needed to maintain physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and family preparedness associated with supporting our national defense.
