The Directorate of Emergency Services (DES) is made up of law enforecement and fire stations at Fort Myer, Fort McNair and Pentagon Helipad.
The purpose of Emergency Services is to provide law enforcement, security and ceremonial support to Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall and the United States Army Military District of Washington.
The JBM-HH Emergency Services Division is committed to providing the highest level of broad-based Fire, Rescue and Emergency medical services to those entrusted in our care. We will work to prevent harm to people, personnel, government property and the environment, through education, training and prevention programs.

Hatfield Gate, 2nd Street South, Fort Myer, VA. 22211 - All non-DoD- non-federally-affiliated visitors MUST use Hatfield Gate to access Fort Myer and Henderson Hall. The gate is open 24/7.
Wright Gate at Marshall Drive and North Meade Steet, off Route 110 (Fort Myer) -- Open daily from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m to DoD- and federally-affiliated ID card holders ONLY.
Henry Gate Route 50 and North Pershing Drive (Fort Myer) - CLOSED to vehicles. Pedestrian only.
Gate 1 at South Orme Street and Southgate Road (Henderson Hall) --Open daily from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. to DoD- and federally-affiliated ID card holders ONLY.
Gate 3 at U.S. Military Road and Southgate Road (Henderson Hall) - CLOSED
Fort McNair, Washington, D.C., portion of JBM-HH
2nd Street Gate - 4th and P Streets, Washington, D.C. - All non-DoD-non-federally-affiliated visitors MUST use the 2nd Street Gate to access Fort McNair. The gate is open 24/7.
Ceremonial Gate--Closed indefinately for security reasons.
Eisenhower (Pedestrian) Gate-- CLOSED
