In-Processing
The first contact military, civilian personnel and families make at a new duty station sets the tone for the tour that follows. Fort Myer is home to the 3rd Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), Arlington National Cemetery (ANC), The U.S. Army Band, Headquarters Battalion, U.S. Army, Andrew Radar Clinic and Henderson Hall. FT Myer also provides services to Soldiers and families that are stationed in the National Capitol Region (NCR) to include Washington D.C., Montgomery County, Prince Georges County, Arlington, Fairfax, Loudon, and Prince William Counties. Attendance is required of all Soldiers PCSing to the NCR to ensure they are properly integrated and to provide training and education to prevent delays in PCS entitlements.
Soldier In-Processing
All Soldiers arriving to Fort Myer will report the first duty day to 106 Custer Road, Bldg. 202 Military Personnel Division (MPD) to receive installation in-processing paperwork. Personnel assigned to The Old Guard report to Bldg. 242, if after hours contact 703-696-3003. All Soldier must be in duty uniform.
Business hours are from 0800-1400 Monday thru Friday. Thursdays 1000-1500, closed 0800-1000 for training.
Installation Newcomers Brief is conducted each Tuesday in Room 108, Bldg. 419, located at 239 Sheridan Ave. Please arrive 10 min prior. Soldiers should attempt to complete SMARTVOUCHER prior to Installation Newcomers Brief https://smartvoucher.dfas.mil/.
Soldiers will be directed to submit the following documentation:
- PCS order and all amendments
- Leave Form (DA Form 31) for PCS leave/PTDY (signed-in and out in blocks 14 and 16 and 15 when appropriate).
- DD Form 1610 (TDY orders), if applicable, which cover the date of departure from your last duty station to arrival at Fort Belvoir
- Commercial travel (tickets/receipts), if applicable
- Lodging receipts with a zero balance, if applicable
- Receipts for any reimbursable expense of $75 or more
- Advance Travel payment information for this PCS

Marine In-Processing
New-joint personnel should report to Henderson Hall S-1 Administration Section, 3rd Floor Bldg. 29 (703-693-7262), during work hours or to the Duty Officer at the Duty Hut in Bldg. 29 (703-614-5973), after work hours.
