Command Sergeant Major, Installation Management Command

Command Sgt. Maj. Corey J. Perry hails from Florida and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1993. He attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, SC, and Advanced Individual Training as a Counterintelligence Agent in E  Company, 309th Military Intelligence Battalion at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. 

Throughout his career, Command Sgt. Maj. Perry has held every leadership position from Team Leader to Command Sergeant Major. His previous assignments include: 313th Military Intelligence Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, NC; New York City Field Office, 310th Military Intelligence Battalion, Fort 
Hamilton, NY; V Corps ACE, 302nd Military Intelligence Battalion, Heidelberg, Germany; First Sergeant of the Mission Support Element, United States Army Office of Military Support (USAOMS), Washington, DC, followed by Operations Sergeant Major, Directorate of Counterintelligence and Security, USAOMS, Washington, DC; Command Sergeant Major, 310th Military Intelligence Battalion, Fort Meade, MD; Command Sergeant Major, 1st Military Intelligence Battalion (Aerial Exploitation), Wiesbaden, Germany; U.S. Army Europe (USAREUR) G-2 Sergeant Major, Wiesbaden, Germany; Brigade Command Sergeant Major, 902nd Military Intelligence Group, Fort Meade, MD; Garrison Command Sergeant Major, Fort Belvoir, VA; Command Sergeant Major, Installation Management Command Directorate-Training, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, VA; and, most recently, Command Senior Enlisted Leader of the Defense Intelligence Agency, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, DC. 

Command Sgt. Maj. Perry currently serves as the Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Command Sergeant Major, where he continues to contribute to the development of the Army's leadership and support to military communities. 

His overseas tours include Germany, with deployments to Haiti in support of Operation Uphold Democracy, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. 

His military education includes: Basic Leaders Course (Commandants' List), Airborne Course, Defense Language Institute – Spanish Course, Advanced Leaders Course (Commandants' List), Battle Staff Course (Commandants' List), SERE (High Risk) Course, Strategic Debriefing Course, First Sergeants Course (Commandants' List), U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy Non- Resident Class 37, NATO Command Senior Enlisted Leaders Course, Nominative Leaders Course (Distinguished Honor Graduate), and KEYSTONE. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science from Excelsior College. 

His awards and decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit (1 OLC), Defense Meritorious Service Medal (1 OLC), Meritorious Service Medal (3 OLC), Army Commendation Medal (4 OLC), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (5 OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal (4 Silver Knots), National Defense Service Medal (1 BSS), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal (3 CSS), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (numeral 6), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (numeral 2), UN Mission in Haiti Medal, Defense Intelligence Director's Award, and the German Bundeswehr Cross of Honour (Bronze). 

He also wears the Master Parachutist Badge and was awarded the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge-Gold, as well as the German Marksmanship Badge-Gold.
