Command Sgt. Maj. Corey J. Perry hails from Florida and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1993. He attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, SC, and Advanced Individual Training as a Counterintelligence Agent in E Company, 309th Military Intelligence Battalion at Fort Huachuca, Arizona.
Throughout his career, Command Sgt. Maj. Perry has held every leadership position from Team Leader to Command Sergeant Major. Command Sgt. Maj. Perry currently serves as the Installation Management Command (IMCOM) Command Sergeant Major, where he continues to contribute to the development of the Army's leadership and support to military communities.
His overseas tours include Germany, with deployments to Haiti in support of Operation Uphold Democracy, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
His military education includes: Basic Leaders Course (Commandants' List), Airborne Course, Defense Language Institute – Spanish Course, Advanced Leaders Course (Commandants' List), Battle Staff Course (Commandants' List), SERE (High Risk) Course, Strategic Debriefing Course, First Sergeants Course (Commandants' List), U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy Non- Resident Class 37, NATO Command Senior Enlisted Leaders Course, Nominative Leaders Course (Distinguished Honor Graduate), and KEYSTONE. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science from Excelsior College.
