COL William "Scott" Gallaway

Originally from New Jersey, Colonel Scott Gallaway graduated from Rutgers University in 1996 with a degree in economics and was commissioned into Army Aviation. He is married to a retired Army Nurse, and they have two children.

He began his active service in the Republic of Korea in the 6th Cavalry Brigade and has since served in the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), 229th Aviation Regiment, 10th Mountain Division, 82nd Airborne Division, 4th Infantry Division, and Headquarters, Department of the Army. Most recently, he served as the Chief of Plans, United States Forces-Afghanistan.  Over the last 25 years, he has served in numerous deployed leadership positions in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, and Eastern Europe.

He is a graduate of the Aviation Officer’s Basic Course, Armor Advanced Course, and Command and General Staff College. He has master’s degrees from Harvard University and the Command and General Staff College, and is pursuing a Doctorate in International Studies from the University of Denver; Korbel School of International Studies.
