The Employment Readiness Program (ERP) provides services to military Spouses, active duty Military, active Reserve and National Guard, Wounded Warriors, Retirees, DoD Civilians, and all Family Members. Services include:

  • Resources and information on available local, national and international employment opportunities, job market trends, and education and volunteer resources.
  • Classes and seminars on self-assessment and career exploration, resume writing, interviewing techniques, dressing for success, networking, and entrepreneurship.

  • Job fairs and other hiring events.

SECO

Spouse Education and Career Opportunities (SECO) is a program offered to all military spouses through Military OneSource, which offers employment assistance with exploring portable career options; education, training, financial aid and state occupational license/credential requirements; career readiness to include interview skills, resume building, etc.; and links to employment sources such as the Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP). Visit the official Military OneSource website to learn more.

Dress for Success Workshop

If the occasion is business, then dress as if you mean business. First impressions are paramount and begins the second someone lays eyes on you ... often long before anyone speaks. A professional image is determined by 10 things about you within 10 seconds of seeing you. Learning the art of impression management - planning how you look and how you act to get a certain reaction - is sure to impact your career or business more favorably. This workshop will present examples for men and women on how to dress for the interview.

Small Business Workshop (SCORE)

Have you ever dreamed of owning your own business? Sure you can be your own boss and set your own schedule, but is owning a business the right move for you? Discover the answer at the SBA’s Pre-Business Workshop. Learn how preparation and planning can give your business the best chance for success. Access the SBA website here. Career Exploration Class

Experts agree the most critical part of the hiring process is the interview. This monthly class provides a general overview of the interview process. The workshop includes tips on researching prospective employers, types of interviews, resumes, and typical interview questions.

Transition Assistance Workshop (4.5 days)

Transition Assistance Program (TAP) provides help to Service members and spouses who are separating or retiring from the military by offering important information and assistance on how to make a successful transition into civilian life.

Federal Resume Workshop (4 hours)

Civil service is an especially attractive employment route for the military community. Learn how the federal selection and hiring process works. Information on veteran's preference, military spouse preference, resume, and other Federal employment applications are provided. A must, if you are considering civil service.

Resume Workshop (1 day)

Civil service is an especially attractive employment route for the military community. Learn how the federal selection and hiring process works. Information on veteran's preference, military spouse preference, resume, and other Federal employment applications are provided. A must, if you are considering civil service. (8 hour class enables you to place your resume inside the federal resume database)

Planning to get a summer job? College job? Any job? We've got what you need. Need help starting a resume? Ask your friendly Employment Readiness Manager. We can connect you with books and show you how to use Word to format as well as conduct a mock interview. Remember to get your resume started before the workshop.

1. From the "Special Programs" dropdown box near the bottom, select "NAF Positions".

3. A listing of NAF openings throughout the state will appear. Look at the "Location" column for positions on Carlisle Barracks.

4. Click an announcement number for detailed information on duties, qualifications, who may apply and application procedures.
