CSM Ryan B. Jeffers
Command Sergeant Major Ryan B. Jeffers was born in Chatsworth, GA. He entered the United States Army on June 1, 2000, and graduated from One Station Unit Training at B Company, 2nd Battalion, 54th Infantry Regiment, Fort Benning, Georgia.
CSM Jeffers' distinguished career has included a myriad of integral duty positions. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York, where he served in every position from machine gunner to Team Leader. He deployed to Kosovo and Afghanistan. His next assignment took him to 1st Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky, where he served as a Team Leader, Squad Leader and Platoon Sergeant and completed three tour to Iraq. He was then assigned as a Senior Drill Sergeant with 1st Battalion, 46th Infantry Regiment, Fort Knox, Kentucky, for two years.
He returned to Fort Campbell, Kentucky, and was assigned to 1st Squadron, 33rd Cavalry Regiment, 3rd BCT, where he deployed to Afghanistan. He transferred to the 101st Airborne Division Headquarters and deployed to Liberia and Iraq as a Senior Operations Sergeant. He assumed duties in 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, where he served as B Company, D Company, and Headquarters and Headquarters Company First Sergeant for 30 months and deployed to Ghana in support of Regionally Aligned Forces-Africa.
He was then transferred to the 101st Airborne Division's Staff Sergeant John W. Kreckel Noncommissioned Officers Academy where he served as a Master Leader Course Facilitator and the Basic Leader Course Branch Chief. Next, he served for 12 months as the 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, Operations Sergeant Major. His most recent assignment was as the 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 1st BCT, Command Sergeant Major from June 2022 to September 2024. In 2023, he deployed to Estonia as part of Operation European Assure, Deter and Reinforce.
CSM Jeffers' military education includes the Warrior Leader Course, Advanced Leader Course, Senior Leader Course, Master Leader Course, and the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy. His other military schools include Airborne, Air Assault, Drill Sergeant, and Battalion, Brigade and garrison Pre-Command Courses.
CSM Jeffers has a bachelor's degree in organizational management with a concentration in leadership and a master's degree in management with a concentration in organizational leadership.
