Private Organizations

Private Organizations (POs) play an important role on United States Army Garrison (USAG) Ansbach, in creating a positive community environment and improving quality of life for Soldiers. USAG Ansbach has established a PO Coordinator Office, to assist Non-Federal Entities (NFEs) who are interested in participating in garrison-led activities. The PO Coordinator works closely with NFEs to submit application packets, revalidate every two years, coordinate with Directorate of Public Works (DPW) on leasing, and explains the process to open a Post Office mailbox and bank account. The PO Coordinator additionally manages all records, to ensure POs remain in good standing and adhere to all policies listed in AR 210‐22, “Support for Non-Federal Entities Authorized to Operate on Department of the Army Installations”.

Membership

There are three membership categories: active, honorary, and associate. POs operating on the installation must always have an active membership category and should not allow their membership to lapse. All individuals living and/or working on our installations are encouraged to participate as a recognized PO.  However, it is important that individuals who elect to participate in these POs do so of their own free will without coercion or pressure from commanders and supervisors.
