USAG Ansbach Christmas Tree Disposal

After Christmas you may dispose of your tree if you live on-post by following these steps:

Clean up your tree (remove all decorations, tree stands, etc.)
Transport your cleaned tree to the designated disposal area:

Urlas Army Family Housing

Drive past the turn-off for the Urlas Post Exchange, and the drop-off point is immediately past the Urlas Community dog park.

-Or-

- The Katterbach Recycling Center (Bldg. 9024).
Containers will be provided at the abovementioned locations between Dec. 23, 2025 & Jan. 16, 2026.
 

Storck Barracks

Trees can be disposed of at the Kompostplatz
Drive from the main gate and follow the sign to “Kompostplatz” (left turn right after steam plant)

-Or-

- Storck Barracks recycle center (next to Bldg. 6689).
Artificial Christmas Trees have to be disposed of at the Recycling Centers, at Katterbach (Bdlg. 9024) or Storck Barracks (next to Bldg. 6689).
