CSM Brennan was born in Leominster, Massachusetts and enlisted into the Army in September 1994 as a 
Combat Engineer. He attended basic training and advanced individual training at Fort Leonard Wood, 

CSM Brennan assumed his position as the United States Army Engineer School Command Sergeant Major 
in July 2020. His stateside assignments include the 307th Engineer Battalion, 82nd Airborne 
Division (Fort Bragg, NC), 37th Engineer Battalion, 20th Engineer Brigade (Fort Bragg, NC), Uni- 
versity of South Florida, 6th Brigade ROTC (Tampa, FL), USASMA, Sergeants Major Course (Fort Bliss, 
TX), and the 20ᵗʰ Engineer Brigade (Fort Bragg, NC).

His overseas assignments include the 16th Engineer Battalion (Bamberg, Germany), 1/ 508th Airborne 
Battalion Combat Team (Vicenza, Italy), 54th Engineer Battalion (Bamberg, Germany),
Operations Group, Joint Multinational Readiness Center (Hohenfels, Germany), 9th Engineer 
Battalion, 172nd Infantry Brigade (Schweinfurt, Germany),
and the Regimental Engineer Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment (Vilseck, Germany). CSM Brennan has de- 
ployed in support of Operation Joint Endeavor (Bosnia), Operation Joint Guardian (Kosovo), 
Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Spartan Shield for peacekeeping 
and combat opera- tions.

CSM Brennan earned an Associate's in Administrative Management and Bachelor’s in Business 
Management from Excelsior College.
