Lieutenant Colonel Andrew W. Rigor

Lieutenant Colonel Andrew W. Rigor is currently serving as the Deputy Assistant Commandant- USAR for the U.S. Army Engineer School, Fort Leonard Wood, MO.

LTC Rigor has a BS in Earth and Space Sciences from the University of California at Los Angeles, an MS in Geological Sciences from San Diego State University, a Master of Strategic Studies from the Army War College, and is a certified Project Management Professional. His civilian experience includes graduate teaching assistant, research, and applied geophysics.

LTC Rigor enlisted in the Marine Reserve in 1994; transferred to the Army and graduated from Officer Candidate School in 1998. He is a graduate of the Army War College, Army Intermediate-Level Education and Advanced Operations Course, the Defense Strategy Course, and the Reserve Component National Security Course.

Previous assignments include: Combat Engineer Platoon Leader, 70th Engineer Battalion (Mechanized), and Headquarters Company Executive Officer, 541st Maintenance Battalion (Combat Support), at Fort Riley, KS; Real Estate Officer, 63d Regional Readiness Command, Los Alamitos, CA; Facilities Management Specialist, and Senior Engineer Plans Officer, 89th Regional Readiness Command, Wichita, KS; Military Construction Program Manager, Multi National Security Transition Command- Iraq (MNSTC-I), Baghdad, Iraq; Battalion Executive Officer, 368th Engineer Battalion (Combat Heavy) in Londonderry, NH, and Kandahar, Afghanistan; Exercise Project Officer, Division Engineer, and Deputy G5, 91st Training Division (Operations), Fort Hunter Liggett, CA; Deputy G2/3/5/7, 86th Training Division (Operations), Fort McCoy, WI; Chief of Facility Plans and Engineering, 81st Readiness Division, Fort Jackson, SC; Deputy G5, 416th Theater Engineer Command, Darien, IL.

LTC Rigor is a life member of the Reserve Officer Association and the Army War College Foundation. He is married to Maryanne Rigor (formerly Busby) of Manhattan, KS. They have four sons, the youngest two are recent high school graduates and live with them in Shawnee, KS.
