Fort Riley Deputy to the Garrison Commander Mr. Steve Crusinberry
Steve Crusinberry serves as the Deputy Garrison Commander at Fort Riley, Kansas. In this position he is the Garrison Commander’s primary advisor on base operations support and installation service delivery.
Mr. Crusinberry is a graduate of the Monterey Institute of International Studies with a master's degree in International Policy Studies, and an installation management professional with more than 10 years of base operations experience.
He retired as a major from the U.S. Army in 2006 after 20 years of service as both an officer and enlisted service member in a variety of active and reserve component positions and assignments. His positions include Infantry Platoon Leader, Company Commander, Western European Foreign Area Officer, Defense Attaché’ Office Paris, France, Deputy G4, Mobilization Assistance Team (MAT) Team Chief, J4 Joint Task Force 160, & Coordination Element Team Chief (CBRNE).
Mr. Crusinberry continued his base operations support experience with Installation Management Command (IMCOM) as the Operations Branch Chief for Plans, Training, Mobilization, and Security (DPTMS) at Fort Riley, Kansas. Since 2009, he has served as the Plans and Operations Division Chief and Director of DPTMS.
His military awards include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Expert Infantryman Badge, Parachute Badge, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Badge and Air Assault Badge.
