Lieutenant Colonel Matthew W. Todd

LTC Matthew Todd commands 3rd Battalion, 353rd Regiment, Joint Readiness Training Center, Fort Polk, Louisiana. He previously served as the Chief of Plans assigned to I CORPS at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. He is a native of Moscow, Idaho and received his commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force through the Reserve Officer Training Corps at the University of Idaho in May 2002. He has operational deployments to Korea and Kosovo, and combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. His previous command and leadership assignments include:

  • 2/1 ID
  • Reconnaissance Observer Controller-Joint Multinational Readiness Center

  • The Meritorious Service Medal with 5 Oak Leaf Clusters
  • The Kosovo (1 Star), Afghanistan (2 Stars), and Iraq (3 Stars) Campaign Medals

  • The Army Superior Unit and Air Force Outstanding Unit Award
  • The United States Army Armor and Cavalry Association’s Order of Saint George (Bronze Medallion) and the National Infantry Association’s Order of Saint Maurice (Legionnaire)
