COL Daniel P. Kearney

Colonel Daniel Kearney commissioned as an Infantry Officer in 2002 after graduating from North Georgia College and State University, The Military College of Georgia.

Over a 24-year career, COL Kearney has led and served in staff and command assignments across the Army, Special Operations Forces, and Joint Force. His assignments include leadership positions with the 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team, 75th Ranger Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, XVIII Airborne Corps, and 10th Mountain Division. He has commanded at the company, battalion, and brigade levels and has deployed extensively in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, Inherent Resolve, European Assure, Deter, and Reinforce serving in Eastern Europe, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Jordan, Kuwait, and Northern Africa.

Most recently, COL Kearney served as Chief of Staff of the 10th Mountain Division and Fort Drum, New York, responsible for synchronizing operations across a formation of more than 16,000 Soldiers and its installation. Prior to this assignment, he commanded the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, and Task Force Guardian during combat operations across the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.

COL Kearney holds a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College and served as a National Security Fellow at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. His awards include the MacArthur Leadership Award, Ranger Tab, Master Infantryman Badge, and Master Parachutist Badge.
