Command Sgt. Maj. Alejandro Romar enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1998, and attended One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, Georgia, for the MOS 11B (Infantryman). He was reclassified to 92A (Automated Supply Specialist) in 2008, and attended Advanced Individual Training at Fort Lee, Virginia.

CSM Romar has participated in multiple deployments in support of missions in Kosovo, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Africa. Additionally, he has served in rotational forces supporting efforts in South Korea and Poland. He also served as the Senior Enlisted Advisor for Remote Maintenance and Distribution Center-Ukraine (RDC-U) Jasionka, Poland and Southern Guard, GTMO, Cuba.
His military education includes: the Operational Contracting Support, Battle Staff, Joint Logistics Course; the Navy expeditionary Logistics Course; the Support Operation Course Phase II; all levels of Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development System, including the Sergeants Major Academy Class 70; BN/BDE Pre Command Course; Garrison Pre Command Course.
CSM Romar has completed an associate degree in psychology through Troy University and a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a master’s degree in business administration/finance through Columbia Southern University. He also holds a certification as a master logistician from the International Society of Logistics. CSM Romar is also a member of the Quartermasters Distinguished Order of Saint Martin.
