Religious Support Office (Chaplain)

The Religious Support Office provides opportunities for spiritual growth and resiliency for DoD employees and their families. In addition to post chapel services, there are also numerous off-post faith communities in the area. Whether you are looking for information on a specific faith community, religious education, or need a little pastoral care/counseling, please contact us and we will support you in your spiritual journey.

The RSO also provides technical support to the garrison commander and provides chaplain portions of plans, programs, force structure, budget, crisis management, and force protection. The RSO coordinates with the Unit Ministry Teams (UMTs) and other chaplains to provide and/or perform religious activities in support of the garrison commander's religious support plan.

Units training at Fort Hunter Liggett may request Protestant Field Services. Please submit your request at least one week in advance, (two weeks in advance is best) by calling 831-386-2808, or stopping by the Religious Support Office at the Lightfighter Chapel. We often cover down on Parks and Moffett chapels when other chaplains are on leave or temporary duty.
