First Sergeant Preston R. Lewis was born in Akron, OH, and enlisted in the Active Army in July 2005. He attended Basic Combat Training (BCT) at Fort Jackson, SC, then Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Gregg-Adams, VA. Upon completion of training, he was awarded the Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) 92F Petroleum Supply Specialist. In 2011, he attended the Human Resource Specialist Course at Fort Jackson, SC, and was awarded the MOS 42A Human Resources Specialist.
First Sergeant Lewis has served in numerous duty positions, including Aviation Fuel Handler, Petroleum Heavy Vehicle Operator, Gunner/Driver, Logistics and Support Platoon, US Army Drill Sergeant, BN S1 Senior Human Resource Sergeant, Assistant Inspector General, G1 Plans and Operations NCOIC, and Brigade S1 Senior Human Resource Sergeant.
His unit of assignments include: HHC 207th Military Intelligence Brigade Theater, Vicenza, Italy; Intelligence and Sustainment Company, US Army Southern European Task Force-Africa, Vicenza, Italy; HQs US Army Cadet Command, Office of the Inspector General, Fort Knox, KY; HHC 82nd Brigade Engineer Battalion, Fort Riley, KS; HHC 1-81st Armor Regiment, Fort Moore, GA; A CO 3rd 47th Infantry Battalion, Fort Moore, GA; HHC 4th 70th Armor Regiment, Baumholder, Germany; HHC 1st 35th Armor Regiment, Baumholder, Germany; HQ US Army Maneuver Support Center of Excellence, Fort Leonard Wood, MO; and E CO 2nd 52nd Aviation Regiment, Camp Humphreys, Korea. He deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (2008-2009), Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (2011-2012), and Poland in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve (2017-2018).
First Sergeant Lewis’ education includes: Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.
