Lieutenant Colonel Brian L. Hollandsworth, originally from Anacoco, Louisiana, earned his commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Adjutant General’s Corps through the Reserve Officer Training Corps at Northwestern State University.

Branch detailed Field Artillery, Lt. Col Hollandsworth spent started his career with 3d Armored Cavalry Regiment at both Fort Carson, Co. and Fort Cavazos, Tx. While with the Regiment, Lt. Col Hollandsworth served as a Fire Support Officer for Apache Troop, 1st Squadron, as a Troop Executive Officer for the Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, and as Squadron Rear Detachment Commander.

As an Adjutant General’s Corps officer, Lt. Col. Hollandsworth served as the III Corps Headquarters Battalion S-1 (Fort Cavazos, Tx.), the Unites States Forces-Iraq Headquarters Battalion S-1 (Baghdad, Iraq), Captains Career Course Instructor (Fort Jackson, SC), Brigade S-1 for 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division (Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Ak.), and Brigade S-1 Observer Coach Trainer (Fort Polk, La.). Lt. Col. Hollandsworth’s most recent assignment was as the Design, Development, Build, Test, and Capability Support Lead for the Integrated Personnel and Pay System-Army which fielded to the Total Army in December 20, 2022, with over 1.1 million Soldiers in the system.

Lt. Col. Hollandsworth served in several combat tours, including Operation Iraqi Freedom (2005-2006) and Operation Iraqi Freedom/New Dawn (2010-2011).

His military and civilian education include Field Artillery Officers Basic Course, Adjutant General’s Corps Captains Career Course, and Command and General Staff Officers Course. He holds the following degrees: Master of Military Arts and Sciences from the Command and General Staff College, Leavenworth, Ks; and Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Louisiana College, Pineville, La.

His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (3 OLC), Army Commendation Medal (1 OLC), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (2 OLC), Iraqi Campaign Medal (3 Campaign Stars), Global War on Terror Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Parachutist Badge.

LTC Hollandsworth is married to the former Miss Ellen Ott of Lake Charles, Louisiana. They have three daughters Isabella (15), Caroline (12), and Catherine (9).
