The IMCOM G9's mission is to deliver quality Family and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation programs and services supporting the readiness and resilience of the All-Volunteer Army.
The headquarters staff is comprised of more than 500 Family and MWR professionals who provide support to Soldiers, Families and the more than 33,000 personnel in the worldwide Family and MWR workforce.
Family and MWR programs, services and activities offer Soldiers and Families opportunities to enrich their lives culturally and creatively. Our programs relieve stress, build strength and resilience, and help the Army Family stay physically, mentally, and financially fit.
Additionally, the Family and MWR Academy, part of the College for Installation Management, provides outstanding professional development training and support to MWR personnel in the management and administration of MWR programs, people, and resources.
The Army’s investment in delivering the highest quality programs and services – from Family, child and youth programs to recreation, sports, entertainment, travel and leisure activities – reflects its commitment to Soldiers, Families, Civilians and Retirees.
