Command Sergeant Major Jason R. Copeland is a native of Portsmouth, Virginia. He attend OSUT training at Fort McClellan, AL.
His most recent assignment was the Command Sergeant Major Installation Management Command Pacific- Region; His subsequent assignments include 701st MP Group (CID) Quantico VA. Garrison Command Sergeant Major, Camp Casey, Korea; Directorate of Emergency Services, Fort Benning, GA; 720th MP Battalion, Fort Hood, TX; 411th MP Company, Fort Hood, TX; and USFK/8th Army Inspector General Office, Yongsan, Korea. He has deployed to Albania, Kosovo, Saudi Arabia, and Afghanistan.
His military schooling includes all levels of the Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development System, Sergeants Major Academy (Class 64), Senior Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education Course, Continuing Education for Senior Leaders, Pre-Command Courses and CSM Development Programs, Antiterrorism Officer Basic Course, First Sergeant Course, Inspector General Course, Battle Staff NCO Course, Master Resiliency Course, Total Army Instructor Course, Equal Opportunity Leaders Course, Anti-Terrorism Officers Course (Basic), and Critical Incident Peer Support Course.
