Mission Statement:

To guarantee the U.S. Army Garrison Humphreys Community a safe working and living environment, by providing our customers the most proficient fire suppression, emergency medical, technical rescue, hazardous materials intervention and fire prevention services to them. The Fire and Emergency Services will at all times maintain the ability to respond to our customers emergencies, protecting their life and property. Through continual customer contact the fire department management and employees will remain focused on the concerns of our internal and external customers, by providing an immediate correction, or avenue of correction for our customers based on their individual needs or situation.

About Us

US Army Garrison Humphreys Fire Department is staffed with 105 well trained and equipped personnel serving you from four fire stations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year!

USAG Humphreys Fire responds to all types of emergencies to include but not limited to: Fires (all types), vehicle accidents, Aircraft incidents, Hazardous Materials, Rescues (all types including elevators), and medical emergencies.

The Department staffs 4 fire engines, 2 rescue trucks, 2 ARFF (Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting) trucks, Haz-Mat and a 100 foot Ladder truck.

Personnel positions are: 4 Department of the Army Civilians - Fire Chief, Deputy Fire Chief, Assistant Chief of Fire Prevention, and Assistant Chief of Training 101 Local National employees –10 Fire Inspectors, 1 Supply Tech, 4 Assistant Chiefs of Operations, 86 Firefighters (Crew Chief, Driver, and Firefighter)

 

Fire PreventionThe Fire Prevention Division is here to help you with Fire Safety Inspections, general Fire Safety questions, Burn Permits, Fire Extinguishers service (we do not provide extinguishers for your facility), Building Manager issues, and more.

Fire safety inspection

Monthly inspection: CDC

Quarterly inspection:  CYS, Elementary School, Middle School, High School and Fuel Oil Facilities.

Semi-Annual inspection: Assembly building, Hangar,  Vehicle Maintenance building, Storage, Communication center building and Heating & Utility bldg.

Annual inspection: Admin and HQs buildings, Barracks, Family Housing bldg. and others.

Special: Request unit or need it by fire department.

 Fire Evacuation Drill.

Monthly: CDC,  CYS, Elementary School, Middle School and High School.

Quarterly: Dental Clinic, Hospital and Fuel Oil Facilities.

Semi-Annual: Assembly, Hangar and Vehicle Maintenance Building.

Annual: Admin and HQs building and Barracks.

Special: Request unit or need it by fire department.

Building Manager Class

The class are held in building P-6140, DPW HQ, BOID Conference room(C106), from 1 - 3 p.m. on Jan. 16, Feb. 20, Mar. 6 and 20, April 3 and 17, May 15, June 5 and 19, July 3 and 17, Aug. 7 and 21, Sep. 4 and 18, Oct. 2 and 16, Nov. 6 and 20, Dec. 4 and 18, 2019.
