Step One: Check Service Member Eligibility
Eligibility is the following:
- Service Members ETSing: once they are 18 months from separating.
- Service Members Retiring: once they are 24 months from their expected retirement date.
- Service Members undergoing an unprogrammed loss (MEB or Chapter): required to start as soon as possible or once their MEB or Chapter process has been initiated.
Step Two: Register and Take Initial Assessment
Service Members will register and take the Initial Assessment at https://armytap.appsplatformportals.us on a NIPR Network only. If Service Members cannot register on the NIPR network, they may reach out to the TAP office to register.
Step Three: Schedule Initial Counseling
Service Members can stop by one of the Hawaii TAP locations or email armyhawaiitap@army.mil to schedule their Initial Counseling. If more than 50 miles from a facility, please call the TAP Virtual Center (available 24/7) at 800-325-4715.
