The Army invests in its civilian employees through training and leadership development courses, programs and activities.
This page serves as a reference guide for USAG Fort Carson civilian employees to find information on most of their mandatory training and on training and leader development opportunities available for the Army Civilian Corps, Armywide and locally.
Workforce Development encompasses a wide range of activities, policies and programs employed by U.S. Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM) and USAG Fort Carson to sustain and retain a viable civilian workforce that can support current and future best business practices within the organization.

Exciting News
Fort Carson will host the CES Intermediate Course from Aug. 10-28, 2026, and the Advanced Course from April 26 to May 21, 2027. Class size will be limited. More to follow in the coming months regarding the application and registration process.
Eligibility
- Intermediate Course - Army civilians in permanent appointments in grades GS–10 through GS–12 (or equivalent).
- Advanced Course - Army civilians in permanent appointments in grades GS–13 through GS–15 (or equivalent).
Prerequisites
- Foundation Course (required only for individuals hired after Sept. 30, 2006.
