COVID 19 UPDATED SERVICES
MILITARY FAMIY LIFE COUNSELOR:
Until further notice, the Military and Family Life Counselor for Carlisle Barracks, Jaime Gaudet, will provide MFLC services via Tele-health. MFLC can only offer these services to adults and is not able to provide telephonic support to minors. MFLC is pursuing video conferencing as a means to provide counseling services to children and teens. For an appointment, call (717) 645-0322.
The Department of Defense Military Community and Family Policy has temporarily expanded program eligibility to Tutor.com (https://military.tutor.com/home) beyond Department of Defense Education Activity students and active-duty children to ease academic disruptions due to COVID-19.
Through June 30, 2020, online tutoring is available 24/7 through Tutor.com to any adult or child member of DOD civilian, National Guard, Reserve or wounded warrior military families. Students, kindergarten through college, can receive live, on-demand tutoring, homework help and test preparation from expert tutors in more than 100 subjects.
MWR LIBRARY ACCESS
The MWR Library contains many free resources for Soldiers and Families. Practically any subject is covered. Folks can download ebooks, listen to audio books, there are interactive history articles, Chilton car manuals, Arts and crafts, scholarly articles, Ancestry Library, BrainHQ ( I may be spending a lot of time there ), etc. These are free resources. Could be very helpful as Families spend time together during the COVID environment. The categories are listed by children, teens and adults. Sign up for MOS and take a look at what's available. Some of the resources require downloading an app, but they are all free when Soldiers and Families access through Military OneSource. https://www.militaryonesource.mil/recreation-travel-shopping/recreation/libraries/morale-welfare-and-recreation-digital-library
