Purpose: To teach graduates of the Air Assault Course, Ranger Course, Special Forces Qualification Course, and Mountain Warfare Course the skills and techniques necessary to become a qualified rappel master.
Course Scope: The course teaches the rappel master's mission, responsibilities, safety SOPs and regulations, anchor systems, equipment familiarization, inspection and maintenance, ground training/hook up, knots, seat inspection, tower refresher/rappelling, and aircraft rigging and control.

Orders must be submitted NLT 1300 the Tuesday prior to to the start date of the course. For all off-post Service
Members, completed packets for the Rappel Master course at TSAAS will be submitted NLT 1600 10 working
