Controlled Fire in Impact Area

There is an active fire in the impact area on Fort Campbell that is creating a lot of smoke; continued dry conditions have and will result in range fires. The fire is under control and being monitored by Directorate of Public Works Forestry; Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization, and Security Range; and Directorate of Emergency Services personnel to ensure the fire stays within the training areas and to avoid any threats to property. We will continue to monitor and update if the situation changes.


Changes to Gate Hours

Fort Campbell has temporarily closed Gates 10 and 6 for construction. Gate 10 is scheduled to be closed through Oct. 15 and Mabry Gate will be open 24/7 during the closure. Individuals will detour from the Gate 10 area to Mabry Gate from Jordan Springs Road to Boiling Springs Road to Mabry Road. Gate 6 is scheduled to be closed through Dec. 2 and Gate 5 will be open 5 a.m. – 9 p.m. Monday – Friday during the closure. Gate 2 will be open Monday - Friday from 5 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Sep. 11 - Oct. 15. During this time, Gate 2 will be closed weekends, DONSAs and holidays. Plan for extra time for your commute during the closures.

Post-wide full-scale exercise tomorrow, Aug. 28

Fort Campbell will conduct a post-wide full-scale exercise tomorrow, Aug. 28. Fort Campbell typically conducts annual full-scale exercises designed to test the installation’s emergency preparedness in response to realistic scenarios. Individuals will likely see an increase in civilian and military first responders and digital signs will be in place detouring individuals from specific areas during the exercise. The exercise will include law enforcement, medical treatment, damage assessment, and more from the directorates and units across the installation. Emergency services will continue to be available during the exercise to respond to any real-world emergencies by calling 911.
