Vehicle Registration

You need one of the following:

• ID Card
• U.S. Forces Certificate of License or Temporary U.S. Forces Certificate of License (AE Form 1G)
• Proof of Insurance for Germany – Insurance Confirmation Card (ICC);
• U.S. title, registration OR Current NATO Registration
• Lien Holder authorization letter – permission to ship
• POV waiver if applicable 
• Power of Attorney is required if spouse registering a vehicle is not listed on the current registration
• Credit/debit card or check/money order made payable to “USAREUR Registration Fund”

And the following:

• Shipping document DD Form 788 OR Customs Form (AE Form 550-175A) and Dock receipt if shipped privately

NOTE: Name on the title/registration and insurance card must be same as person registering POV. Any co-signers or joint owners must be listed on the new registration and social security number is required. Any self-sponsored customer registering their first POV with the USAREUR Vehicle Registration, a copy of Orders or Memorandum from Human resources verifying logistical support is required.

You will need:

• ID Card
• U.S. Forces Certificate of License or Temporary U.S. Forces Certificate of License (AE Form 1G)
• POV must be inspected (renewal inspections are valid for 75 days) and renewal application form must be stamped
• (AE Form 190-10 or AE Form 190-1AA)  or inspection sheet from Safety Inspection
• Credit/debit card or check/money order made payable to “USAREUR Registration Fund” (see payment amount below)
• One year registration cost: $45.00
• Two year registration cost: $90.00

You will need:

• ID Card
• U.S. Forces Certificate of License or Temp. U.S. Forces Certificate of License (AE 190-1G)
• Proof of Insurance – Insurance Confirmation Card (ICC);
• Purchase order or Bill of Sale listing: make, model, year and chassis (VIN- Must be signed and complete to be valid)
• Credit/debit card or check/money order made payable to “USAREUR Registration Fund”
• POV waiver if required
• Power of Attorney if spouse registering vehicle is not listed on bill of sale
• Customs Clearance Form (AE Form 550-175A) or Vat Form when shipped from CONUS – must have Shipping Document or Dock Receipt if shipped privately

You will need:

• ID Card
• U.S. Forces Certificate of License or Temp. U.S. Forces Certificate of License (AE 190-1G)
• Proof of Insurance – Insurance Confirmation Card (ICC)
• Bill of Sale listing: make, model, year, chassis (VIN) number, name & signature of seller and buyer (must be signed and completed to be valid).
• For German specification vehicles, the German title book (Fahrzeugbrief) and de-registration (Ausserbetriebsetzung) marked on German registration (Zulassungsbescheinigung)
• For U.S. specification vehicles - Title document,  for vehicles re-entering the USAREUR system - Customs clearance (AE Form 550-175A) or a unbedinkeichkeitsbescheinigung (UB) form from a German Customs office
• Credit/debit card or check/money order made payable to “USAREUR Registration Fund”
• POV waiver if required
• Power of Attorney if spouse registering vehicle is not listed on bill of sale
