Scope: The UCS Operator Course focuses on providing selected personnel with training in operator level use and working knowledge of the technical and tactical skills necessary to accomplish missions in the UCS or Advanced Echelon (ADVON) as a Civil Support Team (CST) UCS Information Systems Operator Analyst or Communications Team Chief. The course also provides training on UCS power systems, domain interoperability, radio systems, VMware using the virtual machine, employing the Solar Winds reporting functions, Wide Area Repeater, Range Extender, UCS Television Digital Satellite System (DSS), and other ADVON systems. Hands-on training is used extensively to ensure Soldiers master the requisite skills. This course conducts practical application exercises, and finalizes with situational training exercises. Upon completion, students will be able to operate a variety of specialized equipment in order to maintain communication with other Federal entities.
