Have a kit, make a plan, be informed and get involved: Be Ready West Point.

West Point officials are committed to providing a Garrison and Community that is accessible and at the same time, safe and secure. Emergency preparedness is an integral yet often overlooked part of our safety, and is a shared responsibility of our Garrison and Community.

This Emergency Management webpage, maintained jointly by United States Army Garrison West Point Public Affairs and the West Point Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security Operations, provides our Garrison and Community with information on how to prepare for emergencies, what to do in the case of an emergency, how to stay informed, a list of emergency contacts and emergency-related policies and more.

Being prepared for an emergency eases anxiety, promotes self-reliance, and is the best form of self-protection should an emergency occur. You are your own best "first responder."

The Alert! Mass Warning Notification System notifies Service Members, DoD Civilians/ Contractors and their Families of a situation on the installation. USAG-West Point is able to disseminate notifications of adverse weather, an active-shooter or any other event requiring immediate notification to the community.

Those issued a Common Access Card (CAC), and can access the DoD network can self-register, or update their profile by visiting https://alert.csd.disa.mil. While on the site, ensure to associate your individual profile with West Point (Military Location), and your organization under the Additional Attribute Tab.

Those outside of the government network, or without a CAC may register for an account by visiting this link.

Alert FAQs

1:  I am getting an error that states unable to save client record, or registration was unsuccessful, what should I do?

A: Ensure you have completed all of the mandatory fields: first name, last name, valid phone numbers, email address and associations. If you have any questions/ issues, contact the Garrison AT/ FP Section at (845) 938-7398, or ricardo.a.calderon.civ@mail.mil.

A:  Those on the DoD network with their CAC are only able to click the link to acknowledge receipt of the email
