MISSION:
The Directorate of Public Works (DPW) plans, constructs, maintains, repairs, and manages USAG POM and its assigned sites’ facilities, infrastructure, energy, utilities, services, environmental and housing programs required to support readiness and current/future mission requirements.
DPW DIVISIONS:
The Directorate of Public Works consists of six Divisions, and the Office of the Director, that operates as a team performing the functions that make the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLLFLC), the Presidio of Monterey (POM) and Ord Military Community (OMC) infrastructure, real property and quality of life the best they can be.

The Master Planning Division is responsible for all facility planning and management on the Presidio of Monterey (POM), Ord Military Community (OMC), and SATCOM (Camp Roberts). Master planning activities that support the implementation and tracking of the commander's vision for operating, maintaining, and developing the installation include GIS mapping, real property management, community planning, and design guideline enforcement.

The HSO provides relocation services to service members and their families, retirees, and DOD civilians affiliated with the Presidio of Monterey (POM), Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC), Navy Postgraduate School (NPS), Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Center (FNMOC), Coast Guard (USCG) and Recruiting and Reserve Commands. If you are inbound to the Monterey Bay area, your point of contact for relocation assistance regarding housing in the local area is the HSO. For those leaving Monterey, the HSO will assist with information about your next duty station and the availability of housing as well as other support functions at your new location.

The mission of the Directorate of Public Works, Environmental Division (DPWE) is the overall management of the Army environmental programs for Presidio of Monterey, Ord Military Community, and SATCOM Camp Roberts that functions in accord with the installation mission of language training; is consistent with installation, Installation Management Command, Department of the Army, and Department of Defense guidance, requirements and regulations; and complies with all applicable environmental Federal, state and local laws and regulations. The mission includes four major areas of responsibility: Compliance, Conservation, Restoration, and Pollution Prevention. Environmental stewardship of the lands of the POM and OMC emphasizes sustainability of environmental resources for future generations while supporting mission requirements.
