Mr. Hugh H. Hardin became the Chief of Staff, Installation Management Command-Pacific (IMCOM-Pacific), on July 29, 2024. He leads the region headquarters staff supporting IMCOM garrisons in Hawaii, Alaska, Korea, Japan, Marshall Islands, and a support element in Guam, ensuring effective IMCOM support to mission commands throughout the Pacific theater.

The IMCOM-Pacific headquarters has a staff of approximately 100 Military and Civilian personnel providing management of active and reserve component installations supporting a population of 250,000, and oversight of a $2.9-billion annual budget. IMCOM-Pacific has 9.1 million acres of land and 347.4 million square feet of facilities, and annual contracts totaling in excess of $1.4 billion.

Mr. Hardin began his professional career as an Armor officer, and eventually transitioned to become an Army Civilian having served as the Logistics Plans & Operations Division Chief, DOL, U.S. Army Garrison, Grafenwoehr; Deputy to the Garrison Commander, U.S. Army Garrison, Natick Soldier Systems Center; Deputy to the Garrison Commander, U.S. Army Garrison, Presidio of Monterey; and Deputy to the Garrison Commander, U.S. Army Garrison Fort Eisenhower.

Mr. Hardin has a bachelor’s degree in Engineering Management from the U.S. Military Academy and a master’s degree in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. His other significant professional development includes completion of the Senior Executive Fellows program at Harvard University, the Senior Manager Course in National Security Leadership at George Washington University, the Senior Executive Institute at the University of Virginia, the Leadership for a Democratic Society program at the Federal Executive Institute, and the Cost Management Certificate course at the Naval Postgraduate School.

His Civilian awards include the Commander's Award for Civilian Service, Superior Civilian Service Award, and Meritorious Civilian Service Medal.Meritorious Service Medal.
