USARPAC Command Team gets a Pulse Check on All things Kwajalein
The USARPAC Leadership team opened the doors on Kwajalein Atoll to take a deeper look into conditions on the Atoll. During a whirlwind tour, General Ronald Clark, Commanding General, U.S. Army Pacific (USARPAC) and Brigadier General Lance Okamura, Deputy Commanding General – Homeland Affairs, USARPAC gathered details on U.S. Army Kwajalein Atoll for a firsthand conditions check on progress and on the U.S. Army Kwajalein Atoll’s Clean Slate efforts. Clean Slate is the ongoing effort on Kwajalein Atoll to set the installation back on the right path. As the Senior Commander, the USARPAC team is working hand in hand with USAKA to move out in the right direction!
Some of the areas touched on included:
- Army Family Housing, old and new
- Marine Department and port and cargo operations
- Reagan Test Range operations on Kwajalein, Roi- Namur, and the outer island
- Warehousing Modernization Effort
The group concluded the trip with a great meeting with Our Marshallese Host Nation and Neighbors on Ebeye, marking the first time a 4-star General has visited them.
