Size
Yakima Training Center is 327,000 acres which provides an ideal environment for military training and enables the Yakima Training Center to continue to grow as the military's premier training destination in the Pacific Northwest.
Population
With less than 500 military and civilians permanently stationed at YTC, the training center is more like a small village than a military base. Residents include Active Duty Service Members, the WA Army National Guard, the Army Reserves and the Marine Reserves. Transient units can swell our population into the thousands for short periods.
