Army Community Service

Mission

The mission of Army Community Service (ACS) is to:

  • Facilitate the Commander's ability to provide comprehensive, coordinated, and responsive services that support readiness of Soldiers, civilian employees, and their families.

  • Maximize technology and resources, adapt to unique installation requirements, eliminate duplication in service delivery, and measure service effectiveness.

Eligibility

In the United States, the following personnel are eligible for ACS services provided they meet the criteria for the service requested:

  • All active duty and retired military personnel and their family members.

  • Members of the ARNG and the USAR and their ID card eligible family members - while the Soldier is on active duty and during the first year post mobilization, after which time, and for so long as the Soldier remains a member of the ARNG or USAR, eligibility is retained on a space available basis.

  • Army Appropriated Fund and Non-Appropriated Fund civilian employees, and their family members.

  • Family members of prisoners of war or personnel missing in action.

  • Surving family members of military personnel who died while on active duty.
