The Mission of the Yakima Training Center Fire& Emergency Services is to provide highly capable emergency response to protect the lives and property of the Yakima Training Center community using aggressive fire prevention efforts in concert with professional, dedicated firefighters to preserve the Department of the Army’s ability to deliver Fire and Emergency Services to an all hazard, all risk approach. Providing a sophisticated, multifaceted capability to an all hazards, all risks concept by means of fire protection, reinforced prevention, community awareness and pre-hospital medical care supporting the Mission of the Department of Army.
The Vision of the Yakima Training Center Fire Emergency Services will be a premier all hazards response agency within the Department of Army; through cooperative community outreach programs, leading-edge strategy, accessibility, decisive leadership, and sustainable utilitarian programs. In doing this we will evolve, and as a model organization, become the gold standard of our profession and the services provided. We will strive toward being accredited by the Commission of Fire Accreditation International (CFAI) while meeting or exceeding the Department of Defense and Department of the Army’s Fire Service Installation Common Levels of Services and support to the Installation Division-Readiness (ID-R) Vision.
